This is the SFX website. Because I am a huge sci fi nerd, and love the media updates!
Also TOR, one of my favorite publishers. They have a lot of interesting articles here.
Overthinking It is a great website about overthinking the media. Because some of us just ENJOY being critics. It's a very fun thing to be. Tons of great stuff here.
Atlas Obscura is a very cool blog about all the weird things in the world like THIS post about a group of 200 travelers killed by hail in India 1500 years ago.
The Angry Black Woman is a great blog about a lot of stuff, but mostly about being a POC and a woman.
The Curvature is another feminism blog, though a variety of topics can be found.
I also really enjoy reading the National Geographic blog.
Art of the Title Sequence is a spectacular blog about one of my loves, credit and title sequences in movies. I love them. Especially when they're good, but also when I watch them and think "I could do better!"
And lastly, though I fail at being a minimalist, I can't stress enough how much I love Zen Habits. From him you can learn 30 Frugal Gift Ideas to Show You Appreciate Someone, 30 Tips For Staying Productive and Sane While Working From Home, how to Overclack Your Reading Speed, Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck, and about 13 Ways to Simplify International Travel, just to name a few of my favorites.
SECOND CATEGORY! How-to's:
Anyone who knows me knows I like broccoli. It is my favorite vegetable. (My favorite fruit is avocado, by the way. There will be a test on this shit.) Here's how to make broccoli muffins. Which makes you automatically awesome.
